Tasting notes – Campbeltown

Springbank 15 year old

The nose is filled with peaty notes and surf alongside coal fires and the floral smell of burnt autumn leaves. The palate almost has a roughness up front which becomes overwhelmingly briny followed by paprika, ash and the sweetness of caramelised pear.

The finish is long, almost green in nature with the briny warmth of coastal peat fires imbued with seaweed and the sweet spiciness of caramelised sugar and vanilla.
